I teach thousands of students every month through my online courses and tutorials and now I want to teach you!

What Is Paint Week?
A couple times a year I host a free online painting workshop for a week. It's designed to give my students momentum with their paintings by jump starting their progress with some quick wins!
Those quick wins will come from learning essential fundamentals of painting and then applying them in a painting we paint together.
All the instruction is through recorded videos so you can paint on your own schedule during Paint Week!
But to be honest Paint Week is mainly about having some fun!

How It Works
Paint Week runs 10/12-10/17
I will release a new lesson everyday for the first three days.
This gives you an extra 2 days at the end of the week to go through the lessons before my live critique and Q&A session over Zoom on Saturday.
All lessons are recorded videos so once they are published you can go through them on your own schedule.
Day 1: Planes
We will do one of my favorite exercises which is painting planed fruit. This exercise will improve your brush work and make your start painting in 3D instead of 2D.
Day 2: Still Life
You will take what you learned from the plane exercise and paint a small still life that pops with color and form.
Day 3: Lilly Pad Landscape
Finally you will paint a landscape that even Monet would appreciate by using the Big Shapes Method.
What is the Big Shapes Method?
The "Big Shapes Method" is a simple way of building a painting by starting with big simple shapes.
This method is so great for landscapes because it helps you simplify all the chaotic elements of the scene into a nice eye pleasing composition.
If you're someone who gets lost in the details then the Big Shapes Method is going to become your best friend.
Who is Paint Week for?
Paint Week is for both beginner and intermediate oil painters.
Even if you have never oil painted before you will still end the week with a painting and a lot more confidence.
I have simplified the painting process so anyone can do it. The most important thing for new painters is to gain momentum and confidence right from the start and Paint Week is designed to do that by giving you quick wins.
